Befrienders Programme

The Befrienders Programme is a supportive initiative by MKAC designed to bring emotional, social, and practical care directly to the homes and hospital beds of our beneficiaries. With a systematic and targeted approach, the programme focuses on those most in need—such as kidney patients and their family members— ensuring that even those unable to visit MKAC remain connected and supported.
These visits are especially meaningful for beneficiaries who are immobile or confined to their homes, hospitals, or nursing facilities, offering them companionship and encouragement in times of isolation. Guided by the spirit of Mother Theresa’s timeless words, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love,” our volunteers and staff strive to embody compassion in every interaction.
