On June 28th 2025, MKAC launched the inaugural session of Empowering Men and Fathers: Membina Kaum Adam, a programme specially curated to uplift the spirits of male kidney patients. Seven participants gathered for an intimate sharing session, offering space for connection, reflection, and support. The programme aims to provide both spiritual encouragement and practical knowledge in areas such as health and finance.

The session was honoured by guest speakers Ustaz Ridzwan Manap, Head of Islamic Learning at Masjid Darul Aman, and Encik Yusoff Abdullah, kidney patient, renal health advocate, and MKAC Courage Award Recipient 2024. MKAC also extends appreciation to Mr. Mohd Malkan, MKAC Assistant Secretary who facilitated the event and led engaging ice‑breaking activities.

On October 28th  2025, MKAC staff members Arif and Puteri, together with Ambassador Ustaz Haron Hassan, visited the family of Ms Noorliza. Both children — Irfan (10) and Insyirah (16) — are on nightly peritoneal dialysis, while their grandmother, Mdm Safiah Abu Bakar, a long‑time MKAC beneficiary, also undergoes dialysis.

Irfan, born with a smaller kidney, saw his condition worsen after an influenza infection last year and now struggles emotionally, often showing aggression during distress episodes. Insyirah, once active in sports, was hospitalised for emergency dialysis after sudden swelling; despite school challenges, she has shown resilience, though doctors have restricted her from swimming and contact sports. Mdm Safiah continues treatment but faces transport difficulties due to declining health.

Parents Mr Hafiizh and Ms Liza shared the toll caregiving has taken on their emotional well‑being, admitting moments of feeling overwhelmed. They find solace at the nearby mosque, and during the visit, Ustaz Haron offered reassurance and commended their resilience, affirming MKAC’s support.

MKAC will continue close engagement with the family and explore referrals to partner organisations such as TAA and MTFA for further assistance.
